Regarding her letter that has taught him to rely less on himself, and that if he must see her, that is even more reason; indicating that he is at her service since it is she that must "tame the monsters"; asking her to choose a date on which he could pay her a visit, emphasizing that while d'Alembert's presence would not chase him away, any one else's would.
